My Favorite Past times

I love reading. I love reading newspaper. I love reading books (but, read only a few books of chetan bhagat's and a few popular ones).

I love watching news. I love watching videos related to health care, skin care, tips etc etc. :)

I love watching interviews of celebrities. Interviews of Priyanka Chopra, Deepika padukone etc etc. And I love watching debates. I love watching shows like we the people, big fight and the like.

I love writing( anything I want to write about). Just about anything (like this one :))

I love walking (be it in the sun, evenings or in the night).

I love exploring new roads esp. in Banjara hills. And, I love buying petty snacks and ice-creams on my way back.

I love shopping. But, it has some down drastically. Need to pick up on it.

And yeah, I like cooking only to some extent and only if it turns out well. Otherwise, I hate it like everyone else.

And, ukw, I am always addicted to something or the other. One day I am addicted to carrots, one day I am addicted to coke and one day I am addicted to chocolates or anything sweet. I remember, how I was addicted to Lays in egg. final year. I remember how I was addicted to Pepsi tin in Office. I remember how I was also addicted to wicked brownie. Beautiful. Beautiful.

Walkin is good for health :p

I walk 2 km. \ day. In the morning, in the afternoon and in the evenings. I meant, it can be anytime :)

Aggresive truth

We badly need balance in life. I agree. This is the truth. Nobody can escape from this.

For eg, If we eat sweet for for some days, we feel like eating hot food. We need variety in food (dont we need variety in everething? he he). If we wear western clothes for a long time, we feel like wearing something traditional.

This is true for everything.

Btw, one advantage of growing up is we start to think. We analyze things. We will probably come to a conclusion. yay!

Story: A man went up to Ramakrishna Paramahamsa and said he could not refrain from sinning; he had no morals and was unwilling to reform.

And yet, he did not want to be punished for his sins. Was there any way out, he asked Ramakrishna.

Ramakrishna replied that there was no way for a man to escape the consequences of his actions. The only way out that he could think of was for the man to stop sinning. The man said this was impossible. He could not give up his immoral ways. Ramakrishna then suggested that the man surrender the consequences of his sins to him (i.e. Ramakrishna only)

The man agreed and went away. He continued to live his immoral life. Before he did something that he knew was wrong, he would mentally submit the consequences of his actions to Ramakrishna. But, as he did this, his consequence began to trouble him. He wondered why Ramakrishna, who had done no wrong, should face the consequences of someone else 's sinful deeds. The thought brought him to tears. And yet, he could not stop sinning.

But, in the course of time, as he continued to sin and to surrender the consequences to Ramamkrishna, he began to feel more and more remorseful. Ultimately, he could no longer sin and allow Ramakrishna to take the punishment for him. And he went to Ramakrishna and said he had turned over to a new leaf. Thus, Ramakrishna's love had transformed even a habitual sinner change his ways.

Such is the love that great guru's have for mankind and such is the influence that they yield upon people; the effect they have on people is nothing short of miraculous. It is like turning brass to gold.

[Those who do not go beyond their everyday life are dead, though they may be alive.

What is the use of our life if we just eat, sleep and die, and do not move to a higher plane of thought?]

Excuse me? when did we hear abwt child line centres? Hyderabad is improving like a snail pace?

The Central govt. is trying to establish 8 more Child line centres to rescue street children from child labour, sexual harassment etc and provide them food, education etc..In addition to the one in the state capital, the new centres would be established at Warangal, Tirupathi, Srikakulam, Ananthapur, Guntur, Kadappa, Kurnool and Vizag districts.

The child line centres recieves evereday nearly 80 phne calls on the toll free number 1098 Of these, 80 calls, nearly 25 are connected to emotional support. Most children, whose parents are either working or stay far from the children or dont live together end up making such calls, he (philips of child line centre) informed...

Sadly, we can no more read Hindu paper online. It goes paid. You need to subscribe in-order to read it online.

In this Online era, I don't know how many people read hard-copy of news paper esp. kids. On top of it, Hindu charging for online news paper is bad (considering the online charges are minimal but, nobody wants to pay for it) considering the fact that it is one of the well known news papers across India.

So I politely ask Hindu guys to give online edition for free like earlier :D

Why are dress-codes, decency standards, culture, etc., applicable to women alone? I haven't seen a single woman passing remarks on a man-no matter how he is dressed. It is time we changed our attitude towards women and looked at them as fellow human beings, not mere 'objects.'

And the man Krithiga mentioned need not have been drunk. When men step out of their homes, they are different people. I have heard youngsters pass vulgar comments at women old enough to be their mothers.

Why hustle us into marriage?

The is regarding the article " why hustle us into a marriage (open page, Aug 29th, 10)" portrays the exact state of girls across the country. A girl should be given the freedom to choose what she wants. This cannot be enforced by Law. Parents should understand and the change should come from them. Let us hope the article will change their minds of at-least a few parents who want to get their daughters married immediately after their graduation.

People talk of gender equality. Who are they to give women equality? Parents, by and large, think that if the family of a prospective groom does not demand dowry, it is supreme. They are ready to sacrifice their daughters at the alter of such families, irrespective of the other conditions. When a marriage does not last, the girl is emotionally shattered at a very young age.

Some of the (must read) responses on 'Salary hike for MPs'

The Cartoon was spot on. When I first read about the pay hike, I thought to myself what our MPs draw as salaries and perks is peanuts for them compared with the money they spend on the elections, not to mention corruption.

As a reader of The Hindu for 30 years, I compliment the news paper on condensing a page of news in a simple cartoon. Our MPs have been unanimous in demanding an exorbitant hike in their pay and perks. What is painful is that they have made a mockery of our poor country by demanding more :)

A whopping three-fold increase in the salaries of MPs when people are groaning under galloping inflation! Even more distressing is that they want more. Now that the MPs have got their raise, will the govt. inform parliament how many of them have pan cards, how many of them filled IT returns in the last three years and how many of them pay tax on their income?

It is shameful that people's representatives have given themselves the right to fix their emoluments, as per their fanciful assessments. Even if their monthly emoluments could be discussed at some length, how is the increase in their air travel justified? why can't they set an example by travelling economy class? could these savings not be used for better allocations in the social sector, for which the govt. always has an alibi of not having enough resources? Do MPs not have the responsibility of ensuring social equality to the 78% of people who earn less than Rs. 20 a day?

I refer to a British media report "The man who lives without money." It is about Mark Boyle, who gave up using money since 2008 and loves his new life style. I think our govt. should invite him to India and ask him to address our MPs, who are not satisfied with a 300% salary raise.

Our MPs have every legitimate right to demand a pay hike. But they should be made more accountable for their work. They should show progress to people of their constituencies at regular intervals, rather than visit their constituencies during elections. They should attend Parliament regularly and play a constructive role in debates rather than disrupt the House frequently.

This refers to the report that our MPs held up the proceedings in the Lok Sabha because they were dissatisfied with the 300% hike in their salaries, from Rs. 16,000-Rs. 50, 000 a month. An average Indian earns less than Rs. 50 a day. That our MPs are dissatisfied with their hike is a matter of shame. Among the elected representatives, the MPs undoubtedly get the maximum benefits. Despite this, a number of them do not show any interest in attending Parliament. Even if they do, a substantial time is wasted on unproductive work.

Innocent and vulnerable children

Evereday in the News papers we come accross 'sexual assault\sexual harassment on minors' or a boy battles rare disease and has no money for cure (Philanthropists contact ---- number.

So many children die of hunger, so many children go through sexual harassment. It's a disgrace to India. Why cant we do something about it? why cant the govt. do something about it?

There should be a strict law against the convicted. Life imprisonment or hang. Before addressing any other issues, govt. should conc. on child abuse and take strict measures against the convicted and should continue to make an effort that these things wont happen rather than giving 1 Laptop a child or something.

A newspaper has noted that nearly 30 incidents of sexual assaults and accidental deaths of children happened in the last one month and I am sure many many cases go unnoticed or unreported.

I guess, nearly 75\100 go unnoticed coz either the child does not open up ( too innocent to understand what had happened) or the reluctant parents who refuse to file a case fearing their jobs (Laborers)

Let us do something today. Let us feed the poor. Give something to someone today. We come across poor children..servant children playing in the colony. Feed them..once in a while cos they all lack nutrion. Aan also, Let us donate our old clothes to someone today.
Gmail, Gtalk, Orkut, Facebook..etc etc is a wasteeee of time..unless, you are applying for jobs and you want someone to refer you.:)

Absolutely Intolerable

Went to Karachi Bakery today. To my surprise, the price of everething was just double compared to other bakeries or stores. Cashew nuts\kg is 600 Rs. when it is around 300 Rs. in any kirana stores or other super markets. A chocolate pastrie would cost you 50 Rs. This is the minimum price that you should pay if you want to buy one. The maximum went up to 125 Rs (chocolate truffle) (Info: you can buy one in almond house for just rs. 25, the freshest and the most tastiest!).

But, sadly, there were quite a few people (rich pple I should mention) buying cakes, nuts and other stuff.

I think we should ban such stores. It is so silly of us to buy in there. This is absolutely intolerable. Who gives them rights to put prices of their own?

The author who wrote Jim's biography says:

I can still remember the first Doors concert I went to, scared to the very depth of my thirteen year old soul, thinking: This guy is dangerous. Someone's gonna get hurt, probably him. Or me. Or all of us. No one here gets out alive he sang in the song, 'five to one' and when you confront that sort of fear-or the unholy terror a song like 'The End' can engender-something inside you shifts. Confronting the end, eternity blinks. Thant concert changed my Life. I still don't know exactly what happened to me back in 1967. But, I know it was transcendent.

When the music was over (s0ng), there was a stillness, a serenity, a connection with Life and a confirmation of existence. In showing us the Hell, the doors took us to heaven. In evoking death, they made us feel alive. By confronting our sense of hopelessness and sorrow they led us to freedom. Or at least they tried.

Why?

I was thinking why the doors music sounds so different. I am sure there would be many reasons. I can never be able to put it to words properly as there is always a subtle gap between what you want to say and what you say. But, here is what I came up with and I guess every doors fan agrees upon.

I will not put points or bullets because there would be 100s of points which I haven't recognized yet and by putting points, I don't want to narrow it down.

To start with,

The Doors music is so original. A tune\rhythm is never copied\fabricated\changed\enhanced unlike the other famous bands. For example, Led Zeppelin copied a lot of tunes. In-fact, they made an Indian play tabla for their band.

It is hypnotic. It occupies your mind completely.

It was like a resurrection.

The lyrics are like a puzzle (for, Morrison was also a great poet)

There was spoken poetry in their stage shows. Instead of singing the original lyrics from the songs on stage, morrison used to sing his own spontanious lyrics on stage which made public awestruck.

This post will continue for a long time as I discover more

Technology a boon or a bane? Alas!

Where is this world coming to?

What is Facebook? What is Orkut? What do we need Orkut and Facebook for? Networking? Why? Cant we Live without those so-called networking sites? People tend to waste so much of time by visiting someone else's profile who they dont know at all. Huh, to my suprise, when I accidentally saw one of my friends scraps-there were scraps from unknowns. I felt so baaad. I mean, what is happening to this world? Where are we heading to?

What is the motto to talk to somebody unknown and trying to make friendship with him\her. Do they actually go and meet those unknows and start a relationship! Damn! Talking to an unknown in-order to get some valuable information or of same interests s id kind of tolerable but evil intentions cannot be tolerated.

I just hope that there are better people in this world and I still hope that the world is a better place to live-in.

Things that I like to do..

I like early mornings and the empty stomach in the mornings. I think that's the power to do something or to start up something..

I like to have pastries( the almond house pastries!!! :))))

I like to go for Long walks..to an extent where ur Legs start aching..

I like debates..any debates.. The BiG Fight and we the people in NDTV are good.

I like to read news papers for hours..


On the contrary (as many people would say) I like watching vh1 classis, attending Rock concerts, I hope there is one band who would only want to play the doors kind of music or the blues\jazz you may call it.

I am an extremist. I like no sleeping at all or excessive sleeping.

I was an insomiac a few months ago. I was trying out ways for a Good nights sleep..so I started reading a book hoping that would cause sleep.. Instead, i was more curiouis in reading the book and almost finished the book. I tried music on mp3 player, it sounded so good that i woke up and kept Listening to it till the battery went down.

I was addicted to Barista's wicked brownie. I used to have it evereyday in office almost for 4 months in a row.

Similarly, I got addicted to 'Pepsi My Can'..thank god..that was only for a shorter period of time :))

I am interested in anything chaos..disorder.a chaos environment./..an activity which has no meaning or a very lil meaning..yeah as rightly said by Jim, it seems to be the road towards freedom...

wow-Iced coke, The Doors music, The AC, The Blog and its heaven!

Very Calm, Nobody is around..

I would like to say one more time..I guess by this time a lot of pple got bored of my interest in the doors. But, everytime I listen to them I get new thoughts.

Apparently, The Doors Music died with Morrison. The rest of the three members in the band were only the best Players(Keyboardist, Drummist and the Guitaris) But, Jim Created music, gave Lyrics to the music.

Well, I have been Listening to 'The Doors' since 2 hrs. today and obv..I cant stop appreciating their music. It is such an original band, original and the most lively Music.

Some people only see Jim as a drunkard, dopist, etc. But, most importantly, he was an Artist. He read millions of Books since childhood..He graduated from UCLA.

He was a Poet. He was a Movie-maker. He Lived fast, died fast..).

One thing I dont quite understand 'The Doors' recieved so many awards in 2006, 2007 and 2008! The band died in 1971 with Morrison(the rest of the three members in the band, didnt make any new music after Jim's dismissal) Does it mean that pple recognized their music so late? or does it mean that their music continued to be a hit for over 38 yrs now???

My Orkut is not working..I meant, I cannot view my own scraps.

I wanted to delete all of my scraps and I was doing 'select all, delete all' page after page. All of a sudden, it gave me an error message saying 'page expired'. I logged in back only to see t154 scraps (still left undeleted). But, when I click on it, it says "no scraps". Huh. How strange.

And I noticed, nobody else are able to view my scraps!

Please dont spoil the language..

I have this hatred for the words "Tu" "Tum log" "Tu yich" and the like..I show instant dislike for those who talk adultrated hindi. Why cant pple speak proper hindi?

Pain is something to carry, like a radio. You feel your strength in the experience of pain. It's all in how you carry it. That's what matters. Pain is a feeling. Your feelings are a part of you. Your own reality. If you feel ashamed of them, and hide them, you're letting society destroy your reality. You should stand up for your right to feel your pain.

No. This is not a cooking Blog. But, yeah, I cooked something today.

There was nothing much to eat today afternoon as my parents were away for a family function for a longer period of time.

So, I decided to make maggie for myself. I cut the beans and carrot. Took a pan, boiled beans carrot and maggie. But, strangely, there was no masala power:(:( So, I added just salt in it( I was sure that its gonna be tasteless!)

Liquid in the maggie tasted so good that I only had that. So, I decided to make more of that it.

So I have cut the beans, carrots and put it in a pan of water Boiled it and added a few noodles for taste.

NOW THIS IS CALLED 'BEANS's AND CARROT SOUP'. I NEVER KNEW THAT THIS SOUP IS MADE LIKE THIS. IT WAS AWESOME!

To MAKE BEANS AND CARROT SOUP

ALL YOU NEED IS:

BEANS

CARROT
&
SALT

PREPARATION:

Cut the Beans and Carrot into small pieces. Boil it for around 20 minutes of time. Take a Bowl and pour all the Liquid leaving the Beans and Carrot. Add salt to it.

Thirty seven years ago this week, Jim Morrison, the lead singer of the legendary rock band The Doors, was found dead at his apartment in Paris. The coroner said death was due to a haemorrhage brought on by a heart attack, which was caused by taking a too-hot bath after a heavy drinking spree.

According to Morrison's girlfriend, Pamela Courson, who found his body, he had a beatific smile on his face and - she confessed before her own death two years later - had suffered an accidental overdose of heroin which she had injected into his veins.

Four days later, dressed in his best suit and still smiling, he was buried in the poets' corner of the Pere Lachaise cemetery, alongside Oscar Wilde and Moliere.

Curiously, there were no post mortem tests, the coffin was permanently sealed just after his death was certified, and no one had been allowed to see the body.


This, coupled with the fact Morrison had fantasised about faking his own death and going to live anonymously in the Seychelles, has led to continuing speculation about whether he is still alive.


'I often wonder if his death has been an elaborate charade,' muses Ray Manzarek, The Doors' keyboard player and the singer's closest friend.


He and the original Doors guitarist, Robbie Krieger, calling themselves Riders On The Storm (after one of the group's best-known hits), give a show in London next week as part of a European tour.


He is also preparing to make his own movie version of Morrison's life and times - he says director Oliver Stone's 1991 film, The Doors, with Val Kilmer as the troubled singer, took too many liberties with the truth.


Says Manzarek: 'Jim was a restless soul, always looking for something else in life, and even six years of success - and excess - with The Doors hadn't been enough for him. A year earlier, he had shown me a brochure for the Seychelles and said: "Wouldn't this be the perfect place to escape to if everyone believed you were dead?"


'At the time, I never thought anything of it. Jim was a real wild man who was always coming up with crazy ideas. But he was also very smart.


'When I got the call from our manager to say he had died in Paris, I was in California. We had just released LA Woman, and Jim was having a sabbatical while we planned our next tour.


'My first reaction was that Jim's death was another rock 'n' roll rumour. My mind went back to a party in Hollywood, where Jim hadn't turned up.


'It was all pot and cheap wine, the way Jim liked his parties. Someone rushed in and shouted:
"Oh my God, Jim's been killed in an automobile accident." Just as we were stumbling around, wondering what to do, in walks Jim. Alive and ready to party. We laughed at our gullibility and the party went on.'
So, when Manzarek got the call to say Morrison had died in Paris, he refused to take it seriously. The Doors' manager, Bill Siddons, was sent to Paris to establish the truth - but by the time he was able to report back, Morrison had been buried.

'It was a terrible shock,' says Manzarek, 69. 'Sure, he lived life on the edge, but hell, he was only 27.' Manzarek says he and Morrison were so close it was as if a major part of his life had been taken away.

They first met in 1965 on California's Venice Beach. 'He was strolling along looking so cool in his skin-tight jeans and his bare feet and we got talking. We discovered we were both film students at the University College of Los Angeles, and shared an interest in music. He sang Moonlight Drive right there for me on the beach. We decided to start a rock band.'

Dorothy Fujikawa, who was then Ray's girlfriend and later became his wife, financially supported the two of them while they worked on their songs. They took the group's name from Aldous Huxley's book, The Doors of Perception, which quoted William Blake's poem: 'If the doors of perception were cleansed, everything would appear to man as it is, infinite.'

They went on to lead one of the world's most successful bands, selling more than 75million albums worldwide.

Manzarek says: 'Jim came to be identified with the rebellious side of late Sixties, early Seventies rock. He was fun - though dangerous to be with.

'When we were trying to get a break and had little money, we went to the supermarket. Jim hid three steaks under his coat - as we made our escape, he asked the check-out girl for a date.

'Once, at an awards dinner, he ordered six bottles of wine and was incoherent. He relieved himself into one of the empty bottles and put it back on the table. When he was called up to the stage for his prize, he staggered. The beauty queen gave him his award, and he gave her his room key.

'When we flew to Arizona to see a Rolling Stones concert, he was so drunk that he pinched the flight attendant's bottom. The captain told him to cool it, but Jim wouldn't, so the police arrested him when we landed.'

Morrison was in more trouble in Miami, when he was charged with indecent exposure. He was sentenced to eight months hard labour and fined $500 (£250). He remained free pending appeal.

Manzarek says: 'We knew it was the price to pay for working with a genius. He was an exuberant maniac. He would disappear and live like a monk. He had no possessions, just a credit card and a driving licence. He was recklessly generous, buying all the pamphlets off the poets on the beach.'
But with Morrison, there was always one recurring theme in his conversations with Manzarek: death. 'We were walking on the beach when he asked me how old I expected to be when I die. I said probably 78, and he said: "No, not me, man. I'll never make it that far. I see myself as a shooting star, like when you're out at night and you see one exploding across the sky and then suddenly it goes out." '

And so it came to pass that on July 3, 1971, Ray Manzarek received the call telling him the bright star had imploded.

'When I finally spoke to Pam, she was too distraught to tell me what had happened. She kept sobbing that her world was diminished without him. I knew she was a heroin addict, but I never knew that Jim touched it.'

Morrison had a fear of needles, so on the night of his death he asked her to inject the drug for him. The dose was misjudged, and it killed him. Pam said his last words to her, called from the bath, were: 'Are you still there?'

Manzarek says: 'There are all sorts of conspiracy theories, but in my heart, I know that the story about him faking it is just an urban legend - isn't it?'

One part of the story that Manzarek clings to is Pam's account of how Jim looked when she found him.

'He wasn't happy in his last years because he was too unfulfilled. He wanted to settle down with Pam, and live life the way he wanted to. So when Pam told me Jim had died with a smile on his face, I felt it was as if he'd found what he was looking for.'

There are people out there who think that all Jim was about drugs and debauchery. He was an artist and a poet, man. He was a genius. He should not be an excuse for some fifteen year old to go out and get drunk every night. But I guess there are some people who will never get it.

I just couldn’t sleep thinking of 'The Doors' or rather Jim Morrison or may be it’s the snickers which I am not able to digest.

That’s when I decided to get up and write something

For those of you who don’t know 'The Doors’, scintillating psychic 1970’s Rock Band which acquired gr8 fame soon after the Band is formed.

'The Doors'/ 'The Doors of perception' is the greatest band ever in the history of Rock! Jim Morrison {[1943-1971] [the Lead Vocalist]} is truly a Lizard King. King of Poems, King of Freedom...

What makes this guy so special?

For the fact that he was a great Lyricist? For the fact that he had the burning desire for Music and Poetry? For the fact that he had a gr8 voice? For the fact that he was a drug addict? For the fact that he died at 27? For the fact that he had the greatest hair style ever? For the fact that he had a gr8 body? For the fact that he was a set example for every damn Rock star on the earth? For the fact that he had a huge following?

For reasons known and unknown… he is the Best!

Kill those who abuse Children

Needless to say, largely, we come accross in the News Papers about 'Child being Molested/abused/murdered by an elderly person'

Using Children for Begging, abduction and wrongful detention, using children for pornography, corporal punishment, intimidation, intoxication..are all considered as a biG sin and undoubtedly, should be hanged
There is always a posiibility that the punishment to death penalty can make prosecution difficult.

"In cases where Children are concerned there is always a possibility that the accused will use everything in their power to intimidate the child, maim him/her or even kill to destroy eveidence" a social activist said.

Questioning is Basic to all learning

The questioning mind hungers for knowledge and is fertile for intellectual development. A non-questioning mind, on the other hand, is sterile. Such minds have given little new to this world. And yet, our School education is almost entirely answer-friendly. it is a one way traffic in which questioning remains the prerogative of the teacher and the examiner. Students take the questions as given and rarely feel free to raise their own. For many students even the Basic question:why do i need this Education/ remains unresolved.

Answer-oriented teaching places a premium on information rather than undersatnding. Obviously, it needs to be changed. The best way is to make questioning skills an imp part of learning. Infact, one could go a step further and allot marks in eack exam for questioning. Give a lit of topics to the examinees and ask them to raise questions. The more imaginative the Q's, the more marks the examinee gets in that section. it would not only ensure greater involvement of children in their studies but also make it more meaningful by encouraging independent thinking., innovation and exploration. What is more, it would compel teachers to avoid getting in to a rut. Questions are the triggers for new discoveries and solutions.

All most all gaint leaps of mankind have sprung from a question-a simple one like-"why does apple fall down and not go up?" or, "why does demand go down when prices go up?"

Who would raise Questions if not the unconditioned minds of the young? So, lets encourage them to articulate these freely. It would serve one more purpose. Children would learn not to submit to any authority unquestioningly. Such children would, in due course, make a more responsible citizenery. What better way to strengthen Democracy in this Country?

Latest Update; Better late than never

I have just finished reading this Book called "Five Point Someone" by Chetan Bhagat.
Well, this Book is about the life of Three IITians mainly an example of.. how screwed up your college years can get if you dont think straight.

As rightly said in the Book, If you dont think straight it can ruin your college life..and your future may be at stake...

It actually is a very good book, must read for every Engg. student atleast, because students often get relaxed during their Engg. completely forgetting Books.

I wish I had read long before..

Gender bias in India

Every day in Newspapers I come accross, "woman sets self ablaze" or "woman's body fished out" or "woman commits suicide due to financial problems".Its the woman who suffers largely. Descrimination against the female Gender is alive and well in India.


Illegal dowry's are paid to the family of the Groom and cost of the dowry goes up with the financial status of the family! Is this not enough? Huh. We are living in such a country? However, a law was passed long ago prohibiting the reveal of gender feotus but the law's are not well enforced. But, its still the same in rural areas atleast.

And why not, boys recieve more food, Good clothing, and are admitted to hospitals for treatments more frequently and recieve more education than girls. What a discremenation!

Moreover, even in the Movies(esp. south indian movies)..women are potrayed as less able than men. Nuthing but, women who always CRY. The roles given to men are highly dominating wherein it is always the man who saves women. It is the Hero who rescues the Heroine from being molested by a grp of boys.

And , there is always this famous line "Girls should behave like girls" and "Girls should be decent". What does this mean? For example, Girls are not allowed to wear skimppy clothes whereas, boys can wear anything and everything.

And also, a woman can neither drink nor smoke in public places and if she does, she is considered as the most boldest, wildest woman on earth. Haha

Well, Not that I am fond of, But, my only concern is the bias. well, Govt should takecare, should educate more people against the descrimination through media and educative campaingns ultimately supressing the male dominated society!

Am I addicted to computer?


















People spend loads of time talking online with friends and relativesThey tend to lose all sense of time when they are online. Some people even make friends with strangers whom they have'nt met in their real lifes. They forget to eat, sleep or go to school deteriortating their health and there by falling grades. They are sooo deeply drawn into the internet world that they do not notice entire days passing by :((

Some people sink into computer oblivion, neglecting their lovers and families, succumbing to loss of sleep and deteriorating health. Now, these people begin living artificial lives that deter their health and emotional stability.

"People dont express this as an issue, but its something that really is an issue.":(

Now, where does one draw the line? well, it certainly depends on Individuals as to how effectively they use their computers. Because there are clearly so many benefits to computer use.

So. I indeed accede to the fact that it is an incredible intellectual tool and it has become a part of our lifes.

But,being on-line is certainly a virtual and artificial life.
